Pediatric Eye Care
Our optometry practice in Wellington, Florida is devoted to caring for patients of all ages, from 1 to 100. When it comes to our youngest patients, we make it fun! Dr. Les Harrell and his team enjoy building relationships with kids so that they feel completely comfortable and relaxed during their visit. Kids respond very well to Dr. Harrell because of his friendly, approachable demeanor.
During a pediatric eye exam, we evaluate your child’s vision, depth perception, and overall eye development and health. We see infants and children for routine eye care and provide medical treatment when necessary.
Your Child’s Eyes Matter to Us
Eye problems can have a very different effect on children than adults, so it is essential to see a pediatric optometrist for routine eye care, and especially if you suspect any problems with your child’s eye development. Some of the most common pediatric eye conditions we see and treat include conjunctivitis (pink eye), ptosis (drooping eye lid), amblyopia (lazy eye), and strabismus (misaligned or crossed eyes). If left untreated, these conditions can cause a loss of vision or a delay in your child’s visual development.
We Welcome New Families
Dr. Harrell will be glad to provide a thorough evaluation of your child’s vision and eye health. For your convenience, we are open late on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please call our Wellington office at (561) 798-8282, or you may also request an appointment online.
